Beacon Community Services is a registered non-profit society, with charitable federal tax status. Our Charitable Registration Number is: 12995 1174 RR0001. Official tax receipts are issued for all donations, and all donated funds directly support our many programs and services.

Donate Through Shopping

You can also donate to Beacon Community Services with your Thrifty Foods Smile Card and through HBC Rewards. A Thrifty Foods Smile Card, with the Beacon Community Services code, will donate 5% of the amounts you purchase to our organization. HBC Rewards allows you to donate some or all of the points you earn when shopping at The Bay, Zellers or Home Outfitter. We can redeem the points for items in the HBC Rewards Catalogue or for a gift card, with which we can purchase merchandise. The merchandise can be used for fund-raising drives and prizes, appreciation awards and operational or client needs. If you are interested in obtaining a Thrifty Foods Smile Card, please send us an e-mail.

 

Donate Your Time

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, provide training if needed, and cover out-of-pocket expenses. You can choose to work in the program or activity that best complements your skills and interests. For details, visit the Volunteer Services web page.

 

Membership

Show your support for Beacon Community Services by becoming a Member! Membership only costs $10 annually, or $100 for a lifetime. In return, you will receive the monthly TideLines newsletter, a Beacon Community Services membership lapel pin and the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting.
