A variety of family resource programs are offered throughout the year in support of early childhood development services. Programs include:
Roots of Empathy
Offered in partnership with Success by 6 and School District No. 63, Roots of Empathy provides opportunities for elementary-school aged children to experience empathy for others by introducing them to infants in the classroom.

Peninsula Connections for Early Childhood
Beacon Community Services is pleased to sponsor and participate in this active advisory committee. The committee meets monthly to address and advocate for the needs of early childhood learning, socializing and healthy development.

Mother Goose Rhymes that Bind
A fun program of nursery rhymes and music that helps develop the language skills of toddlers and provides a social connection and support for parents. There are several eight-week sessions offered with appropriate age groupings. Funded by Beacon Thrift Shops and by donation.

Sidney StrongStart
These drop-ins offer play and socialization for children and their guardian. StrongStart runs five times a week and is located at Sidney Elementary. Offered in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
